Sony is reportedly developing a movie based on Korean-American Marvel heroine Silk aka Cindy Moon.

According to The Wrap, the project will be led by Spider-Man: Homecoming producer Amy Pascal.

Silk was created by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos and made her first appearance for Marvel Comics in April 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man vol. 3 #1.

The character's backstory goes that she was attending a science exhibition demonstrating the safe handling of nuclear laboratory waste materials, when a spider that had been exposed to large amounts of radiation bit Peter Parker on the hand.

That same spider then bit Cindy on her ankle, leaving her with super powers, including organic webbing and an advanced Spider-Sense.

But it's only 13 years later that she meets Peter, after he has a vision of Cindy being bitten by the spider that gave him his powers, causing him to go and find her.

It's also interesting to note that in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Tiffany Espensen plays an Asian-American student named Cindy on Peter's Academic Decathlon. When the film was released, many fans speculated that she was the future Silk.

Sony is also currently developing a sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming, with Tom Holland returning in the title role.

And in March, The Wrap reported that Spike Lee could potentially direct a film based on Spider-Man character Nightwatch and written by Luke Cage showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker.

Nightwatch is the alter-ego of scientist Dr. Kevin Trench, who witnessed a costumed man die battling terrorists armed with 'cloaking' devices. But when Dr. Trench unmasked the man, he saw it was an older version of himself.

He first appeared in Web of Spider-Man #97 in 1993 and even had his own short-lived series.
