Spider-Man spin-off star Aaron Taylor-Johnson has joined the cast of Robert Eggers’ long-awaited Nosferatu vampire film.

According to Deadline, the Kraven the Hunter actor has joined a star-studded cast that includes Lily-Rose Depp, Bill Skarsgard, Nicholas Hoult, Willem Dafoe, Simon McBurney, Ralph Ineson and Emma Corrin.

Nosferatu is the reimagining of a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman (Depp) in 19th century Germany and the ancient Transylvanian vampire (Skarsgard) who stalks her, bringing untold horror with him.

Meanwhile, Taylor-Johnson will be seen next in the Spider-Man spin off film Kraven the Hunter, and he recently opened up about how this film will be different from all other MCU outings.

"Kraven being shot entirely on location is going to make all the difference. It's going to add something really beautiful to our personal story," Taylor-Johnson told The Hollywood Reporter.

"It also sets Kraven apart from that Marvel stage look. It's important for this character to be in the real world. It's important for the authenticity of the story. When you're running on streets barefoot, you take in those elements and play within that,” he added.

This is not the first Marvel character he has played. Taylor-Johnson was also Quicksilver aka Pietro Maximoff in Avengers: Age of Ultron, where he meets his fate while saving Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye.

On how Kraven will be different from Quicksilver, he said: "I'm not here to play the same character twice. I, as a person, am naturally changing and evolving. New things inspire me, and you grow as a person. So I can only move forward and play things I haven't done before.

"I like a challenge, and I like to step outside of my comfort zone, often.”

As of right now, there is no release date for Nosferatu.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is available to buy now on Prime Video, iTunes, Microsoft Store and other digital retailers.
