Spirited Awards: The Savoy’s American Bar named World’s Best Bar

The Savoy's American Bar has been named the World’s Best Bar at the 12th Annual Spirited Awards.

The awards, which took place at New Orleans’s globally acclaimed Tales of the Cocktail festival, granted the London bar the prestigious accolade, as well as naming it the Best International Hotel Bar, and the Best International Bar Team.

American Bar’s manager Declan McGurk said: "This is an incredible achievement and a real tribute to every member of our team, who work so hard and in such a collaborative way to ensure the success of The Savoy’s American Bar.”

Over the last twelve months the bar has appointed Maxim Schulte as head bartender, and scooped the World’s Best Bar award at World’s 50 Best 2017.

This year, the bar launched a new cocktail menu named Every Moment Tells A Story, featuring drinks inspired by photographer Terry O’Neill’s portraits of cultural icons, which adorn the walls of the bar.
