SPL: Aberdeen Thrash St Mirren

SPL: Dundee In Inverness Thriller

Aberdeen have temporarily joined Celtic and Hibernian on points at the top of the Scottish Premier League table after beating St Mirren 4-1 away.

Goals from Johnny Hayes, Niall McGinn, Chris Clark and Mark Reynolds gave them the win that leaves St Mirren 11th of 12 in the league and puts Aberdeen third.

Marius Zaliukas' late penalty clinched a draw for Hearts at Inverness CT. Owain Tudur Jones hit an early strike for the home side but Terry Butcher's team were furious with the referee after the late penalty. Hearts now sit tenth on a goal difference of minus one.

Elsewhere, Paul Heffernan scored twice as Kilmarnock comfortably beat Ross County 3-0.

Motherwell and Dundee played out a 1-1 draw - Nicky Riley and Michael Higdon with the goals.

Celtic, who beat Barcelona in midweek, are at home to St Johnstone on Sunday.
