Spooky Halloween light trail with funfair, pub and skeleton petting zoo
A new light trail that's less than an hour away from Liverpool is set to open in time for Halloween. The Halloween Trail - a 'spooktacular' Halloween-themed light show - will open at the Trafford Centre from Thursday, October 17 to Sunday, November 3.
The immersive experience promises to 'captivate visitors of all ages this spooky season'. The trail will feature more than 100,000 lights and immersive installations based on a Skeleton Village theme.
Tickets for the Halloween Trail are now available for purchase via the Trafford Centre website. Prices are £8 for children, £10 for adults and family tickets start from £32.
Guests can expect supernatural surprises and moments of spooky delight, including thousands of tiny laser beams creating a mist-filled garden of light. The space will be illuminated by vibrant, colourful bats and LED eyes watching from above.
Visitors will begin their journey with a talking projection storybook sharing Halloween tales before they embark on the 40-minute trail. The trail will be interspersed with interactive installations and activities such as pumpkin carving, marshmallow roasting, a skeleton petting zoo and a skeleton disco, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Visitors can immerse themselves in a spooky experience where they will encounter The Twist, a dizzying corkscrew tunnel with psychedelic lights, and a bone-rattling skeleton funfair, featuring all the classic fairground games. Adult visitors can also stop at Ye Olde Skeleton Arms, an old-fashioned pub packed with eerie charm, and a abandoned haunted hotel.
There will be a delicious selection of food and drink options from top traders at Freight Island available to enjoy during the event. Dan Morris, co-founder of Trafford Trails, said: "We are thrilled to launch Trafford Trails this Halloween. Our team is excited to work with our partners at the Trafford Centre to completely transform the incredible hidden space into a mesmerising Halloween experience.
"We are proud to offer such a wonderful and immersive event at an affordable price, making it accessible for families, groups of friends, and even date nights. We can't wait to share this enchanting journey with our visitors."
The Halloween Trail will run from Thursday, October 17 until Sunday, November 3. Tickets can be purchased via the Trafford Centre website here.
