Hundreds of fans across the North East turned out to watch England play against the USA in their second World Cup game.
Although it was a disappointing result at nil-nil, it didn’t stop fans enjoying themselves at various fan-zones and pubs across the region.
In Newcastle’s Central Park, hundreds of fans turned out next to the Life centre to watch England’s second game in the tournament.

Meanwhile, in Darlington a number fans could be spotted converging inside the indoor market at the Market Tap waving their red and white flags.
In Durham, at the Head of Steam pub, the picture was a little more subdued with just a small handful of football fans watching .
