I spotted subtle Marcus Rashford change which hints at Man United redemption
The last time Marus Rashford was on the pitch for Manchester United the home fans jeered when he was not replaced by Amad.
Last season was difficult for Rashford as he suffered a crisis of confidence and that was evident again in the defeat to Liverpool. After missing out on a few duels, the English forward looked bereft in the final third and actively chose to avoid 1v1s much to the disappointment of those in attendance.
Unsurprisingly, Rashford missed out on a call-up to the England squad and it would have been easy for the forward to take the disappointment as an opportunity to visit warmer climes. Instead, Rashford remained in Manchester to train at Ashton United and West Didsbury and Chorlton in an attempt to regain his confidence.

Taking to the pitch at Southampton on Saturday lunchtime, you could tell that the time spent on the training pitch had done him the world of good. Yes, he lost out on his first couple of duels with Southampton centre-back Jack Stephens but it was noticeable the change of mentality.
While previously the winger retreated into himself after losing out a couple of times, on Saturday afternoon Rashford shrugged it off and continued to plough onwards. Such a decision paid dividends just before the break as he curled home United's second in a 3-0 win.
It doesn't take a tactical genius to see why Rashford found success this weekend compared to the three matches earlier. He showed perseverance which every top player in the Premier League has and did not allow setbacks to weigh him down and ruin his performance.
If Rashford can take this new mentality into the upcoming fixtures we will likely see him redeem himself among a section of the fanbase who had been losing confidence.
