Sri Lankan wildlife officials rescue elephant calf found with gunshot wounds

Wildlife officials in Sri Lanka's North Central Province rescued an elephant calf found with gunshot wounds. Footage from March 12 shows officials feeding the distressed calf as they tie it to a tree. Residents in Ganewalpola called wildlife officials after they found the 1-and-a-half-year-old calf was separated from its mother. Upon medical inspection, several injuries were found on the elephant calf's body, including gunshot wounds.
