St Ann's live updates as police cordon off area outside homeless shelter
A police cordon has been set up outside a homeless shelter in Nottingham. The cordon is in place at the junction with St Ann's Way, Wellbeck Way and Alfred Street North, near Mechanics House, ran by Framework.
Nottinghamshire Police have been contacted in connection with the incident but hasn't yet explained why the cordon is in place. It's understood someone has been seriously injured. Nottinghamshire Live has been told that the cordon has been in place since last night.
There is blood over the keypad, door and pavement outside Mechanics House. Several police vehicles are in the area and a number of officers are working nearby.
