Extra police powers granted in Walsall following a stabbing near a petrol station and supermarket convenience store have been extended. A man was seriously injured after a knife attack near the Asda Express shop on the main Wolverhampton Road from Junction 10 of the M6 leading into the borough, shortly before 9.30pm on Tuesday (September 24).

The police powers are in place for the whole of the borough from Brownhills in the north to Darlaston in the south west and Streetly in the south east. Investigations into the knife attack continue.
