As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, Stacey Solomon has shared a candid pregnancy post on Instagram in a bid to encourage fans to be “body kind”.

In the image, the ‘Loose Women’ panellist, who is expecting her first child with Joe Swash, is bikini-clad in a paddling pool.

She captioned the shot [sic], “Out in the garden doing all I can to cool down. Even though it’s only 20 degrees however I feel like I’m in an oven!”

“This week It’s mental health awareness week, and the theme this year is body image. Something I feel so passionately about. So I’m posting to try and spread some body cheer... Our bodies are incredible.”

The mother-of-two also encourages fans to embrace their “stretch marks, veins, cellulite, muffin tops, scars and grey hairs”, emphasising that this is what makes us all unique.

“No matter what society makes you feel, YOU ARE ENOUGH. What we look like does not define us. I try so hard to make a conscious effort every day of being kind to myself and loving who I am inside and out. It doesn’t come easily but it serves a huge reward.”

Let’s give ourselves a bloomin’ break and try to accept who we are no matter how different! Stretch marks, veins, cellulite, muffin tops, scars, grey hairs, are beautiful and it’s what makes us US. We are ALL unique, and that is beautiful. You are the only you there is and THAT, in my opinion is perfection!”

The Instagram snap has, at the time of publishing this article, amassed over 110,000 likes with a large number of social media users praising Solomon for spreading body positivity in a world skewed by photoshop.

One wrote, “We are surrounded by fake beauty that is often unattainable without a lot of money to make you look a certain way. You are real, gorgeous and inspirational - your kids are very lucky to have such a wonderful role model.”

Another agreed, adding: “I think you do such a fantastic job in making us mums feel normal when this Instagram world makes us feel like we have to be a certain way.”

“Brilliant Stacey! So important to show people that confidence isn’t a look, it’s a way we feel. Changes happen when we are kind to ourselves and it’s so vital that people like you keep using your platform to reiterate this,” a third commented.

Though it’s not the first time the 29-year-old has inspired fans to embrace their natural bodies with frequent posts on everything from body hair to cellulite.

Back in April, followers credited Solomon for giving them confidence after sharing photograph from her holiday of her stretch marks shining in the sun.

Before she posted an unedited photograph of her baby bump joking that she’s “pregnant with a Furby” due to a spurt of body hair.

Again, fans praised the small screen star for helping others to feel “normal”.
