Stacey Solomon: 'Jackass' star Steve-O regrets ghosting star after six months dating

Jackass star Steve-O has confessed he still regrets ghosting Stacey Solomon after dating her for six months.

The 48-year-old stuntman - whose real name is Stephen Glover - met the Loose Women star when they both took part in Channel 4 show The Jump in 2015, and Solomon, 33, was a single mother to two sons at the time.

According to The Sun, Steve-O confessed in his new autobiography A Hard Kick in the Nuts: “I was smitten, I lavished her with attention, I got what I wanted and then I broke it off.

“I had become not only part of her life, I’d become part of her kids’ lives too. And then - poof - I was gone”.

The Jackass star - who was born in Wimbledon - has spoken about battling substance abuse issues and sex addiction. He said he was in a pattern of ghosting women at the time he dated Solomon.

Steve-O said: “To this day, I still beat myself up about the way it went down.

“Ironically, I don’t think Stacey does. We aren’t in touch any more, but she has corresponded with my family and seems to bear no ill toward me.

“She seems to be a happy person who can go through life without gigantic grudges, even when they might be totally justified. What a freak.”

Solomon is now married to EastEnders actor Joe Swash, who she met in 2016, and they co-parent five children together.

Swash – who won I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2008 – first met Solomon in 2010 when she also won the ITV jungle reality show.

But it was in 2016 when they worked together on spin-off show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! NOW! that they entered into a romantic relationship.

The couple are now co-parents to Harry, 15, Solomon's sons Zachary, 14, and Leighton, 10, from two previous relationships and three-year-old son Rex and one-year-old daughter Rosie.

They married in the garden of their home Pickle Cottage in the summer.
