Stacey Solomon Instagram post praised by fans for embracing her 'extra fold' in bikini snap

Stacey Solomon has been praised by fans after embracing her “extra tummy fold” in her latest holiday snap.

Solomon posted a picture of her enjoying the sunshine in an orange bikini on her Instagram page on Wednesday.

The Loose Women panellist wrote: “Nature = the prettiest backgrounds. No filter needed.

“Loving my extra fold over tummy lines this year, they look like a six pack wahoo! Winning! Happy hump day xxx.”

Fans flooded Solomon’s post with comments about her “beautiful” picture, praising her for “keeping it real”.

One wrote: “Keeping it real. Well done @staceysolomon. This is what young girls need to see a real woman.”

While another said: “I love your honesty, you’re an amazing role model xx.”

“You are a role model to all the young girls and ladies out there! Stay being you! Fabulous xxx,” gushed somebody else.

The former X Factor finalist has regularly spoken out against body-shaming, explaining to the Standard last week that she feels a “responsibility” to hit back at trolling.

Solomon said: “Before I did speak out, people were telling people how I should feel and how I do feel so there will be articles about my body and how it wasn’t good enough.

"That’s not how I feel about my body and I felt it was my responsibility to say that and to display that I like who I am despite what society tells me I should look like.”
