Stacey Solomon says 'I scavenged' as she stuns fans with her 'favourite tradition' at Pickle Cottage home
Stacey Solomon has revealed how she 'scavenged' to achieve her latest DIY masterpiece as she stunned fans with her latest work. The Loose Women star has unveiled the latest of her 'favourite tradition' with her loyal following - her Halloween door.
Those who have followed Stacey over the years will know that the 34-year-old is known for her extravagant door displays which change with the seasons and key events throughout the year.
Previously, Stacey used some of the leaves from her garden wedding to husband Joe Swash to help create her Halloween display that also featured a nod to their beloved pet pooch, Theo, who died at Christmas in 2021.
She's also previously used the display to pay tribute to daughter Rose when she turned two last October, with pastel-coloured pumpkins taking over the entrance to the family's home.
And while it may still only be September, Stacey is getting into full Halloween mode and after starting by decorating her bedroom - much to Joe's dismay - the mum-of-five has now moved to the outside of the house and created her latest epic display at the entrance of her family's home, Pickle Cottage.
To create her new eye-catching door, Stacey used gold skeletons from her new George at Asda range, branches she got from the side of the road and she also made a cauldron out of a bucket which she decorated. She also sprayed pumpkins so they were gold and black.
And while se admitted that it's still early for Halloween. Stacey said she had to finish decorating the home ahead of an event at her home on Thursday (September 19). The Sort Your Life Out host took to Instagram to show her fans how she created the display and also included a clip of her children getting excited as they returned from school and found the decorations up.
Alongside the post to her six million followers, Stacey wrote: "The Halloween Door. One of my favourite traditions. Seeing the kids come home from school and gets so excited is my favourite. Literally so proud of this years door, made from branches I scavenged off the side of the road, a cauldron I made from a bucket, skeletons I’ve collected over the years (other than Shazza on the door she’s new) and some pumpkins from our neighbour farmer Scott!
"And the best front door friend ever @emlouflowers who is as crazy as me & she’s my partner in crime in helping me make what’s in my head come to life. I know it’s very early this year but I actually needed to finish it before our Halloween event here on Thursday. I need no excuses to start early though, I’m so glad it gets to stay up a little longer & I have an actual excuse!"
It didn't take long for her fans and followers to respond to the post as they were left in awe by her efforts. @hall_at_home said: "Well this is just everything! Gothic/Romantic Halloween vibes are the one!!!!" @loulouslikes commented: "Wow Stace you’ve outdone yourself this year. Absolutely brilliant!"
