Stacey Solomon's son calls her a 'liar' as she pulls heartstrings in plea ahead of huge moment
Stacey Solomon was jokingly branded a 'liar' by her teenage son as she revealed a huge moment was ahead of the pair. The Loose Women star has recently been taking to social media to plead for her fans and followers' support.
Stacey is up for 'Best Presenter' at the National Television Awards which take place on Wednesday night (September 11), and airs on ITV. She is up against Alison Hammond, Ant & Dec, Bradley Walsh and Claudia Winkleman in the category.
Meanwhile, the presenter's show Sort Your Life Out, which sees Stacey and her team - Dilly Carter, Iwan Carrington and Rob Bent - help new families complete a life-changing declutter of their home, is up for the 'Factual Entertainment' gong alongside Clarkson’s Farm, Gogglebox, The Martin Lewis Money Show Live and The Yorkshire Vet.
Stacey, however, hadn't been on the ball when it came to shouting about her nomination and asking her fans and followers to vote for her and the Sort Your Life Out team.
It meant that her team lied to her saying voting was about to close. Earlier this week the 34-year-old revealed: "Turns out my team lied to be about when the NTA votes close. They haven't closed, there's still time!" She explained: "They basically said it to me so I'd post and not forget about posting. So I panicked and posted but there's still more time."
She has since shared a message alongside co-star Dilly asking for people for their votes and in a last-ditch attempt to seal a win, Stacey got her son involved.
Taking to her Instagram Story on Tuesday evening (September 10), the mum-of-five was seen alongside her eldest son Zachary as she said: "Turns out there's still time to vote for the NTAs so beg number three... How can you refuse this face," turning the camera to show her teenage son.
She then revealed: "My firstborn child will be there with me and he'll be absolutely devastated if he doesn't watch his mum win something." As she laughed, Zach chimed in: "Such a lie. Don't believe anything she says!" Stacey continued while laughing "He'll be really upset, I don't know how we'll carry on!" before adding: "But imagine if his mum wins best presenter at the NTAs, the year he came with her."
But Zach reassured her: "But being nominated is still great," to which Stacey said: "I know, I'm very proud." Zach added: "It's still very, very good still." Overwhelmed, Stacey said: "How cute. I'm sorry but the cutest guy ever!"
But Zach replied: "First of all I have a moustache and a beard, how can you say this like I'm the cutest person ever? What are you on about?" Stacey then ended the video by saying: "Please vote," before writing across the clip to her six million followers: "If not for me, for Zach!"
