Staff and Pets Uninjured After Car Crashes Into Animal Clinic

Staff at the Noah’s Ark Companion Animal Hospital jumped into action to help pets and customers when a client inadvertently crashed into the business office after stepping on the car gas pedal instead of the brake, and drove through the garden.

Clinic owner Dawn Todd told Storyful there were no serious injuries to staff, clients or pets as a result of the accident.

Todd recounted that four employees normally work in the business office, but at the time of the accident, only two were at their work stations. Four dogs were also peacefully resting in the space.

The car struck the office manager and threw her across the room and pinned her under rubble. The video shows her freeing herself and placing a 911 call.
The car drove directly over two of the sleeping dogs, missing them both but pinning them under the car. The other two dogs were buried by the debris, but escaped injury.

Todd told Storyful that the video shows how well the staff responded to the emergency and how quickly they mobilized to rescue the dogs. What’s not on camera is the client’s escape from her car. She was freed on the outside of the building, physically unharmed. Credit: Dawn Todd/Noah’s Ark Companion Animal Hospital via Storyful
