When this driver was pulled over by police, they couldn't on earth figure out why. They had noticed a 'strange noise' but instead of inspecting the motor, they decided to carry on.

They drove past Staffordshire Police who were at the roadside investigating another incident. The driver was stopped and claims he was surprised when officers pointed out the missing front passenger side tyre and exposed metal rim.

The driver was reported for driving without due care offences. And probably walked home.

Meanwhile a new specialist team in Staffordshire has been introduced to tackle crime committed on our road networks. The squad will be able to respond more quickly to incidents across the county, including rural and remote areas that aren’t very close to local policing hubs and urban crime teams.

Specialist officers will now be more visible and better placed to respond to incidents.
