A British man has hit back at claims his stag party paid a homeless man to have his name tattooed on his head.

Jamie Blake held his stag do in Benidorm with about 30 of his friends.

Photos were posted on Facebook of a man having Mr Blake’s name and address tattooed on his forehead.

It was claimed the stag party paid a homeless man, thought to be Polish and called Tomek, £90 to go through with the tattoo at a Spanish parlour.

He had “Jamie Blake, North Shields, N28” tattooed on his forehead on July 13.

But Mr Blake said he had nothing to do with the alleged incident and insisted the man isn’t homeless.

Mr Blake moved to Benidorm from North Tyneside three months ago and works on the strip.

He told the Chronicle Live: “I was not there at the time. There was a big group of around 30 of us drinking in the bar.

“There was a group of Irish lads there as well and Tomek. He isn’t homeless, he lives with my friend and works on the strip.

“I got drunk and was asked to leave the bar. I was never in the tattoo parlour and as far as I know he was not paid any money.”

Mr Blake said he first became aware of the controversy when friends contacted him to say that photos had been shared on social media. The photos were later deleted from Facebook.

“My friends and family from the UK were contacting me and asking if it was me,” he said.

“It has been a nightmare. I might have to fly home and could lose my job here.”

Mr Blake said he split up with his partner before the trip but still decided to go ahead with the stag do.
