Staines robbery: Manhunt launched over £4.1m jewellery heist in shopping centre car park

A manhunt has been launched following a multimillion-pound jewellery robbery in a shopping centre car park.

A salesman suffered serious injuries after he was set upon by “a number of men” attacked him as he got out of his car in the Elmsleigh Centre multi-storey car park, Surrey Police said.

They made off with jewellery worth £4.1m after the attack on the morning of 13 May.

Detectives now want to find 40-year-old Ciro Troyano, who they described as white, about 5ft 6in, and of medium build.

He is linked with the Elephant and Castle, Southwark and Brixton areas of London, they said.

He is wanted on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and conspiracy to rob, they added.

Two other men, aged 39 and 48, were arrested on Tuesday morning in London.

Detective Sergeant Kate Hyder, who is investigating the incident, said: “We are urgently trying to track down Ciro Troyano, who is wanted to relation to this violent robbery. We are looking for any information, no matter how insignificant it might seem, which could lead us to where he is.

“The victim was left with nasty injuries following the attack and we are keen to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.”
