Stan Lee says his Avengers: Infinity War cameo is his funniest yet

*WARNING: SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR*

There's little use denying the MCU's become a titan in popular culture - not when it's a series which comes with its own rigid set of traditions.

There are the post-credit scenes (and, yes, Avengers: Infinity War doesn't skip out there), the Easter Eggs, and, of course, the obligatory Stan Lee cameo.

The comic book legend has cropped up over the years in a huge range of scenarios - as beauty pageant judge, WWII veteran, high-stakes gambler, and FedEx Driver - with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 suggesting that they may all be the same person, an informant for the godlike aliens the Watchers.

When it comes to Infinity War, even the narrative's epic stakes hasn't kept the Watcher's informant away. And, according to Lee himself, it may be his funniest yet.

At the LA premiere, he told fans (via Comicbook.com): "I want to thank them for having spent all these years coming to see my cameos and, of course, watching the movie with it. And now I think they're going to find the funniest cameo of all. I can't wait until they see it."

So what exactly does that entail? One more warning: SPOILERS AHEAD.

The location of Lee's cameo is actually in a scene we've already glimpsed in the trailers: when Peter Parker is travelling in a yellow school bus as New York is suddenly faced with a gigantic alien spaceship hovering above it.

Peter asks Ned, who we first met in Spider-Man: Homecoming, to cause a distraction. Which he does, in sorts, by standing up and frantically yelling: "Oh my god, there's a massive great spaceship in the sky!" Cue, general panic.

Which is when we see Lee turn around as the bus driver and yell at the kids to calm down. "What's the matter with you kids? You never seen a spaceship before?" he exclaims.

Avengers: Infinity War is out now.
