Stanmore crash: Police probe as man, 39, dies after being hit by car near medical centre

A 39-year-old man has died after being hit by a car in Stanmore, north-west London.

Detectives today issued an appeal for witnesses and people with dash-cam footage to come forward.

Police were called just after 11pm on Friday to Honeypot Lane, near the Honeypot Medical Centre, following reports of a car hitting a pedestrian.

The victim sustained multiple injuries and died at the scene.

A 29-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop.

He was interviewed and released under investigation.
