The Who star Roger Daltrey to come to Southend Cliffs Pavilion in solo tour
The Who is arguably one of England's biggest bands, with them being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. Next year, legendary The Who frontman Roger Daltrey is embarking on a UK solo tour - and will be making an appearance in Essex.
Roger will play with his own incredible band and will perform a mix of acoustic and semi-acoustic performances of The Who classics. He will also be performing solo hits, and rare gems, followed by his popular Q&A session with fans.
Daltrey’s solo career began in 1973 with the single ‘Giving It All Away’ which reached number 5 in the UK charts. His most recent album was 2018’s acclaimed top 10 hit As Long As I Have You.

With The Who, he was the voice of timeless classics like ‘Substitute’, ‘Who Are You’, ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’ and ‘Baba O’Riley’. In 1990, Daltrey received a Lifetime Achievement award from the Grammy Foundation along with the band in 2001.
Roger said: ““Here we go again! After touring the US with this band of phenomenal musicians, I can’t wait to get back on the road in the UK with these shows. It’s a joy to be on stage performing - up close and personal for the audience, chatting with them and playing familiar songs in an unfamiliar way.”
Tickets go on sale Friday, November 15 2024 at 10am. Roger will be performing at the Cliffs Pavillion in Southend-on-Sea on Wednesday April 23 2025.
