Star Wars: The Last Jedi star Andy Serkis has said that Supreme Leader Snoke's death was a "shock".

Serkis, who is appearing in Netflix film Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle, opened up about the First Order's leader meeting his maker.

"It was a bit of a shock, but I could see exactly why they were going that route, and I think it was a huge surprise in the middle of the film," Serkis told Games Radar.

"But I really loved the scene where Rey plays with Snoke. That scene was fantastic. I just wish he'd survived, but who knows?"

Serkis' Snoke comments come after he revived his Lord of the Rings character Gollum for a terrifying Theresa May Brexit parody video.

A video featuring the actor was posted on the WE WANTS IT Facebook page, which sees Serkis play a Gollum-like version of the Prime Minister in a comedy sketch video.

The video was made as part of a campaign calling for a People’s Vote on the final Brexit deal, and ends with the declaration 'The People's Vote: We Wants It', making it pretty clear which side Andy Serkis is taking in this whole Brexit debacle.

Elsewhere, Serkis has also confirmed he won't be returning for Amazon's Lord of the Rings television reboot, despite proving in this video that he's still the perfect Gollum.
