Star Wars launches new Facebook game for Porg fanatics

Porgs are the cutest – let's just get that one out of the way.

The little creatures that have become the breakout stars of Star Wars: The Last Jedi now have their own game, so if you are a fanatic like us it may be your day.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi – Porg Invasion has just launched on Facebook, where you get to play as BB-8 and are tasked with removing the little aliens from the Millennium Falcon.

You can play the game on Facebook Messenger's Instant Games tab, so get playing. You know you need more of their adorable faces in your lives!

The Last Jedi was released in cinemas this week, and has received rave reviews from critics – even if fans are more divided about the latest adventure.

In more emotional news, it has just been revealed that the late Carrie Fisher's dog Gary has seen the new Star Wars adventure, and recognised his mother on screen.

ABC7 news reporter Veronica Miracle tweeted that: "The late @carrieffisher's dog Gary just watched #TheLastJedi! He sat on Fisher's former assistant's lap during the film. She said his ears perked up every time she was on screen."
