Starbucks Successor Opens in Russia Rebranded as 'Stars Coffee'

A replacement for Starbucks opened in Moscow, Russia, on August 18, after the company closed all its stores in the country in protest at the invasion of Ukraine.

The new store, called Stars Coffee, has several similarities to Starbucks in its names, uniforms, layout and menu. Even its logo bares a strong resemblance to that of Starbucks, the main difference being that the figure in the Stars Coffee version wears a traditional Russian headdress called a kokoshnik.
