It’s Started Already: Harvester Puts Up Christmas Tree FIVE MONTHS Early

It may still be the middle of summer but the festive season is upon us already as one Harvester branch have put their Christmas tree up - five months before the big day.

The tree at the Milton Keynes branch of the pub and restaurant chain is even decorated with baubles and tinsel while the sun blares outside.

Shocked customers were greeted by the festive decoration this week - and they were even encouraged to book early for their Christmas lunch.

In case you were wondering, December 25th is another 150 days away and one customer decided that the promotion was enough to be sent to comedy Twitter page, Get In The Sea, who gladly tweeted it.

Harvester admitted that staff at the branch may have got into the festive spirit just a little too early.

However, a spokeswoman added: “Although we realise not everyone wants to think about preparations quite yet some of our guests do like to get their Christmas booking plans underway, even in July.”

Sadly, anyone wishing to get in on the Christmas spirit in July are out of luck - the tree was taken down three days after it went up.

Harvester later said that its brief appearance was part of team training for the Christmas period and to raise awareness of the Harvester Christmas menu.

We’re guessing the Christmas menu will be pretty similar to most Christmas menus so we’re not sure people need to be made aware of turkey and all the trimmings. Especially in summer.

Harvester have form in this area, however - last year an early Christmas tree appeared at in the Ashford branch in Kent in August.

That’s basically Christmas, anyway.
