New York Governor Andrew Cuomo declared a state of emergency for Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Saratoga, and Ulster Counties on December 2 due to heavy snowfall.
Cuomo said he deployed 300 members of the National Guard to “assist with snow removal and clean-up operations” in the affected areas.
Local reports said that Albany, Schenectady, and Rensselaer were expecting up to 26 inches of snow.
