State of Emergency Declared in Washington Floods

A state of emergency was declared for King County in Washington as heavy rain caused flooding, local reports state.

Torrential rain overflowed the Issaquah Creek, submerging cars in a “strong current,” a local meteorologist said. The National Weather Service (NWS) declared river flood warnings for 18 river points and flood warnings over 12 counties.
