Here's everything you need to know.

Station 19 season 5 release date: When will it air?

There's been no confirmation on whether Station 19 will return for a fifth season.

Season four is now on its midwinter break, and it won't be back on US screens until Thursday, March 4.

That means season five won't arrive on ABC in the States until the latter half of 2021 at least given that production isn't set to resume until January 18, according to Deadline. The cameras were supposed to start rolling at least a week earlier, but the pandemic put a stop to that.

In the UK, Sky Witness is your go-to. If season five is given the green light, we're probably looking at a 2022 premiere.

Station 19 season 5 cast: Who's in it?

Station 19 season 5 plot: What will happen?

The same goes for what to expect in season five.

In the season four winter finale, Robert and Dean were arrested for defending two young Black girls after the police sided with their kidnapper and failed to take action against him.

Chatting to Entertainment Weekly, Barrett Doss said that a lot is going to change moving forwards following that storyline.

"It forces a call to reexamine our relationships to the job, and in some cases, to each other," she explained.

"It brings in a lot of questions that I don't think we've touched on, on our show. We focus so much on what brings these characters together and what keeps them united as a team, we haven't talked a lot about what makes them different from each other and those fundamental differences that some of us walk around with."

Station 19 season 5 episodes: How many will there be?

The first half of season four was just five episodes due to covid, and it's not yet clear how many episodes the rest of the season will be. But fans could be looking at a smaller haul.

As for season five, seasons two and three had 17 and 16 episodes respectively, so we'd expect something in that ballpark.

Station 19 season 5 trailer: When can I watch it?

It's far too early for this one, folks. But as soon as the trailer arrives, we'll pop it right here, because we're nice like that.
