Steak bake woes as Greggs in Gloucester mysteriously closes

Sausage roll and doughnut fans have been disappointed to find their go to Greggs store in Gloucester has closed. One regular customer who would nip in for a cheeky steak-bake was saddened to see the shop had closed with a note on the door direction customers to the nearest Greggs to get their bakery goods fix.

The Greggs shop on Bristol Road in Gloucester is believed to have been closed for around two weeks. The shop door windows are covered with paper with a hand-written closed sign.

However, all may not be lost for the Greggs shop as another note on the door says the Bristol Road store is temporarily closed. The note also directs customers to Eastern Avenue for those who are determined to have a Greggs.

One customer said: "Greggs is shut at the Old Log Pond on the Bristol Road. It has been closed and all papered up for the last two weeks with a note on the door saying 'we are closed'.

"No more steak bakes for me. It was always busy as well. My oasis for secret steak bake eating."

Greggs have been approached for comment.
