Steakhouse with 'best view in Birmingham' named top restaurant in city

A 25th floor steakhouse offering panoramic views of the city has been named as Birmingham's top restaurant and bar in a local business awards.

Marco Pierre White's recently-refurbished city centre spot won the Restaurant/Bar of the Year award at The City of Birmingham Business Awards, organised by Downtown in Business.

The popular bar and grill is located 230 feet above the city at the top of the iconic Cube building. It's best-known for its afternoon teas, expertly-cooked steaks and extensive drinks and cocktails list, as well as its stunning bird's-eye views.

Operations manager Reda Sanceviciute said after winning the award: "We're thrilled to have been named the best restaurant in Birmingham. We strive to provide all our guests the best possible food and service when they visit, so it's fantastic to be recognised for this.

“We've been one of the most popular places to enjoy a cocktail, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner over the last 10 years and boasting arguably the best view of any restaurant in the city creates the perfect setting whatever the occasion.

"The recent refurbishment added to the venue's appeal and to win this award demonstrates that people like what they see."

Marco Pierre White's has just launched its new autumn menu, which includes a new Prix Fixe set menu priced at £19.61 for two courses. The venue closed briefly at the start of the year for the first phase of a major revamp, which was completed in February.
