Stephanie Pratt has revealed she had “no idea” that her brother Spencer and his wife Heidi Montag were expecting a child.

The Made in Chelsea regular, 31, said she found out the good news when it was announced to the public.

When asked if she was excited for the couple, she told OK! magazine: “Of course, although I had no idea Heidi was pregnant.

“Spencer and Heidi tend to do things in their own way. I'm really happy for them both.”

Stephanie, who previously dated Joey Essex, said her sister-in-law was “born to be a mum” and that her brother is really good with children.

“Heidi has wanted a kid for ten years, she's born to be a mum,” she said.

“Spencer and I have nieces and nephews and he's very good with them. He acts like he isn't interested but he's always got his phone out taking videos of them.”

Spencer and Montag, who are collectively known as 'Speidi', announced earlier this month that they are expecting their first child together.

Montag, who met her husband on the set of The Hills, said she broke down in tears on finding out the news.

“I have never been more excited,” she told US Weekly. “The reality is sinking in that we are going to have a child! I’ve read every pregnancy book, and now I realise I don’t know anything.”

The couple, who have been married for eight years, said they decided to wait until now to try for a child as they had too many work commitments, including Celebrity Big Brother.
