Stephen Amell confirms he was removed from flight after argument

Arrow star Stephen Amell has confirmed that he was removed from a flight after an argument with his wife.

Page Six wrote that the actor was "appearing drunk" on a Delta flight from Austin to Los Angeles, with the airline confirming that "an unruly customer" was removed from the flight, causing an eight-minute delay in take-off.

Responding to the report on Twitter, Amell told his side of the story, stating: "My wife and I got into an argument Monday afternoon on a Delta flight from Austin to LA.

"I was asked to lower my voice and I did. Approximately 10 minutes later I was asked to leave the flight. And I did so immediately. I was not forcibly removed.

"I rebooked myself on a Southwest flight 2 hours later and traveled home without any further issue. I let my emotions get the better of me, end of story. Must be a slow news cycle."

Following the conclusion of his DC series, Amell has filmed a wrestling drama for Starz titled Heels, which is premiering in the US in the August. As well as Amell, the show stars Vikings' Alexander Ludwig and will feature an appearance from WWE Superstar CM Punk, who teased his role exclusively with Digital Spy.
