The countdown to the 2024 European Championships is on, three years after England's heart-wrenching defeat in the 2020 final. The Three Lions were left devastated after a penalty shootout loss to Italy at Wembley Stadium.

This marked another low in the long 58-year wait since Bobby Moore hoisted the Jules Rimet trophy at the old Wembley back in 1966. The disappointment continued with a quarter-final exit at the hands of France in the 2022 World Cup. Yet, optimism remains high for an England team brimming with talent.

With seasoned pros like skipper Harry Kane, Kieran Trippier, John Stones and Kyle Walker guiding the youthful energy of Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, Cole Palmer and Kobbie Mainoo, there's a genuine chance that England could be lifting the Henri Delaunay Trophy on Sunday, July 14.

However, they'll have to overcome Europe's elite to achieve this feat, with powerhouses such as France, Portugal, Spain and Italy boasting formidable squads. But before they can take on the best, they must first navigate through the Group Stage - something they've managed in every Euros since 2004.

The Three Lions are set to kick off their campaign against Serbia on Sunday, 16 June at the Arena AufSchalke in Gelsenkirchen. They'll then face Denmark in a rematch of their Euro 2020 semi-final on Thursday, 20 June at Frankfurt Arena.

Their final group stage match will be against Slovenia on Tuesday, 25 June at the RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne.

Unfortunately for fans, tickets for England's three Group Stage matches are not available through UEFA's official ticketing portal. The official ticket resale platform was open throughout March and April but has now closed as we approach the tournament.

Knockout stage tickets will be sold during the tournament via the same ticketing platform once teams qualify and matches are confirmed. So while England fans can't buy tickets for knockout stage matches right now, they'll have every opportunity to if the Three Lions progress from Group C.
