Stirling auctioneer's annual charity golf day raises almost £12,000
Well known local auctioneer Ally Logan has raised almost £12,000 thanks to his annual Charity Golf Day
So far, over the 25 years of Ally Logan Golf Days, more than £190,000 has been raised for local and national charities.
Fifty teams from all over central Scotland took part in a Texas scramble at the event at Stirling Golf Club this year, where 200 golfers had the opportunity to enjoy a great day out on Stirling’s picturesque course.
Ally recently handed over a cheque for £10,000 to Marion Blaney and Mel Duffy, part of the fundraising team for Strathcarron Hospice. Also there was a cheque of £1700 donated to the Williams Foundation.
Ally said: “Many thanks to Ground Developments and DS McG Ltd who were the main sponsors, NFU Mutual Stirling for sponsoring the Hole in One prizes and to all other sponsors.

“I would like to thank everyone who contributed to another fantastic day by taking part in the golf competition and generously donating prizes to the raffle and the auction.”
The winners, with a score of 57-2.3 h/c 54.7, were Grant Carnegie, Euan Douglas, Charlie Linton and Chris Doucharty. Longest Drive at the 11th was Kerr Fletcher; nearest the pin on the 10th Euan McNair; nearest the pin on the 14th Jim Anderson.
