Stirling’s Ukrainian community are putting together a free fundraising event offering locals some delicacies and traditions from their homeland.

The festive event will take place at the Smith Museum in Stirling on Saturday (November 30) and will be a celebration of all things Christmas, including delicious Ukrainian food, handmade crafts, a lottery and a Yuletide atmosphere.

Admission to the event is free and everyone in attendance will be given the opportunity to sample a Ukrainian Christmas delicacy in ‘kutya’ - also at no cost.

All of the proceeds made from the event will go to supporting Ukraine, with hundreds of families still living in Stirling having been displaced by the conflict in their homeland in 2022.

The organisers of the evemnt have said it will focus on bringing together different cultures for a good cause and to support that community having to make a home from home in Scotland.

The Christmas event will run at the museum from 2pm to 4:30pm.
