Stoke City team news vs Fleetwood as Ryan Shawcross goes strong
Ryan Shawcross has named a strong Stoke City starting XI as he takes caretaker charge against Fleetwood Town.
Shawcross and Alex Morris are overseeing tonight’s Carabao Cup third round tie at the bet365 Stadium (7.30pm) and although there are seven changes from the team that lost in the Championship at Oxford on Saturday, there are shirts for Viktor Johansson, Million Manhoef, Bae Junho, Lewis Koumas and Andrew Moran.
Enda Stevens returns from a calf injury to make his first appearance of the season and Michael Rose is back from an ankle injury he picked up in pre-season. Jordan Thompson, who was used from the bench at Oxford, also starts after recovering from a calf strain.

Narcis Pelach is expected to be watching from the stands as Stoke close in on appointing the 36-year-old as new head coach to replace Steven Schumacher.
Stoke: Johansson, Dixon, Stevens, Phillips, Rose, Sidibe, Thompson, Moran, Manhoef, Koumas, Junho. Subs: Bonham, Wilmot, Anderson, Bocat, Burger, Seko, Lipsiuc, Cannon, Tezgel.
