Stoke-on-Trent to 'feel like -2C' as forecasters issue big snow update
Meteorologists reckon Stoke-on-Trent will experience snow next week - when it could feel as cold as -2C. It comes as an Arctic blast is taking aim at the UK in what will see wintry conditions sweep in and temperatures plummet.
Now the BBC has forecast that the Potteries will see a dusting of snow next week when the winter chill takes hold. But those at weather maps WXCharts are sticking with a forecast of the white stuff hitting over a few days - and being heavy by the end of next week.
Meanwhile the Met Office reckons the start of the week could feel as nippy as -2C at times.

However the forecasts are rapidly changing and the Met Office has urged families to check on the latest forecast while also warning of 'wintry hazards' to come.
When snow will hit North Staffordshire
As it stands the BBC reckons the first bout of snow will be in hillier areas of the Moorlands, namely those close to the Derbyshire border such as Flash. Those snow falls will hit from 7pm on November 19.
It was initially forecast they would turn heavy by the following day - but that's now changed. Instead the Beeb reckons it will be colder than previously thought and in parts of the Moorlands it will be down to -1C.
Forecasters believe snow flurries will return late on Wednesday going through to Thursday before hitting again later in the evening and again on Friday. That Moorlands forecast doesn't expect temperatures to get much beyond 1C in what looks like a very cold week.
Meanwhile in the Potteries and the BBC says after Monday (November 18) temperatures won't get past 3C. In terms of what's going to fall from the sky and the Beeb says there'll be sleet in Stoke-on-Trent from 7pm on Wednesday.
Light snow is then expected from around 3am on November 20 and could last until 9am. Meanwhile weather maps WXCharts reckon there could be some hefty snow fall in North Staffordshire - including the Potteries on November22.
Met Office's long-range UK forecast
November 17 - November 26: "Turning more unsettled and significantly colder as we head into the weekend with rain or showers for most regions, The heaviest and most frequent spells of rain are most likely in the north where they are likely to turn wintry, especially to the hills of Scotland, but perhaps also to lower levels in the far north as colder air digs south.
"The chance of any widespread or disruptive snowfall affecting more populated areas at this stage however remains low. Less certainty for the south but even here there is a chance of some more organised rain, and potentially some hill snow. Often windy, with a chance of gales at times, especially in the north and east. Temperatures falling below average and feeling particularly cold in the strong winds."
November 27 - December 11: "Signals vary in prevailing weather patterns through this period but likely more unsettled and colder than during early November for the start of the period. There is a greater chance of more mobile weather patterns which would see Atlantic systems periodically move across the country.
"These bringing some wetter and windier interludes followed by drier periods and with the colder air in situ a greater risk of some snow, especially for hills of the north. A trend toward less mobile weather or more settled conditions is favoured into December, although some wetter and windier interludes remain likely at times. Temperatures also trending closer to average, especially in the south."
