New Stoke-on-Trent food festival promises to be a 'culinary adventure'
Foodies are being promised a 'culinary adventure like no other' when a new food festival gets underway in the Potteries. The Feast will make its debut in Stoke at the weekend where it will welcome some of the city's 'finest food vendors'.
And the bi-monthly event, organised by FEASTED, will also play host to interactive workshops, live cooking demonstrations and education talks. It will also come on the back of a Halloween event 'Ghostronomy' that'll run between Thursday and Saturday.
Meanwhile The Feast will be held on Market Square from 11am and 6pm on Saturday with organisers urging punters to come with an 'open mind'. It has been made possible thanks to funding from Stoke High Street Accelerator Project in association with Stoke-on-Trent City Council and the Government.

Cris Cohen, of FEASTED, said: "We want people to come with an open mind and leave feeling inspired. Whether you’re here to try something new, learn a new skill, or simply enjoy the atmosphere, our festival is all about celebrating the joy of food and thinking differently about what we eat.”
Councillor Finlay Gordon-McCusker, cabinet member for infrastructure, transport and regeneration, said: “We are pleased to have been able to support FEASTED with their programme of events with funding from the High Street Accelerators Programme. We know that they are extremely passionate about Stoke-on-Trent and we welcome their efforts to put on new and exciting initiatives for residents of the city.”
Before then and Ghostronomy will get underway on October 31 with sessions and 3pm and 5pm and 6.30pm and 8.30pm. It will just take place in the evening slot on November 1 and 2.
Participants will meet at The Villas with tickets priced at £25 each. They will enjoy a guided ghost walk, 'gastronomic pit stops', live story telling and a chance to explore some 'unseen locations'. A FEASTED spokesperson said: "Our city is brimming with untold stories and historical gems.
"Ghostronomy offers a fun and unforgettable way to engage with Stoke’s heritage by combining the thrill of a ghost walk with the joy of experiencing local flavours. It’s history you can taste!”
