Stoke-on-Trent park cafe to reopen - with dogs welcome too
A closed-down cafe in a Stoke-on-Trent park is set to reopen. The Pavilion Tea Room is expected to open in Burslem Park within weeks.
It comes after Stoke-on-Trent City Council had been searching for an operator to take on the venue. The impending opening has been teased since September.
In a social media post to park visitors, the tea room stated: "We are so looking forward to opening and meeting everyone. We will have home-cooked food with some comfort favourites thrown in and lots of scrumptious home-made cakes ready to greet you. We have lots of ideas to get our community involved and new groups to start. We really hope you will all support us in something new.

"As we are in the park we are also open to our furry friends. We would just ask that they are kept on a lead at all times whilst in the building and are not allowed on the furniture We will have water and treats for them and poop bags will be available."
The Burslem Park boost comes as the cafe and visitors centre is also reopening at Westport Lake.
