Stoke-on-Trent pub rocked by death of regular to stage Aiden's Day fund-raiser
A pub is staging a fund-raiser in memory of a teenage regular. Aiden Cotton 'spent a lot of time' at The John Marston, in Longton.
But he passed away unexpectedly at TeamSport Go Karting Stoke, in Burslem, on Friday night. Staffordshire Police are not treating his death as suspicious.
Thousands of pounds have already been raised through an online appeal. Now The John Marston is preparing to stage Aiden's Day - and wants local businesses to get involved in the fund-raising effort.

In a social media post to customers, the venue stated: "As you may all be aware a very young man Aiden Cotton lost his life on Friday whilst out with his friends. Aiden was a lovely, polite young man that spent a lot of time with us here at The John Marston and this heart-breaking news has come as a huge shock to us all. We are asking for your help to raise funds for his family. We will be having Aiden's Day on 16 February here at The John Marston. There will be singers and karaoke, raffles, sponsored shaves, and much much more to be announced."
