Four puppies stolen at knifepoint by masked raiders in Sheffield

Four puppies have been reported by their owner as having been stolen at knifepoint by two masked people in Sheffield.

Their owner was asleep when the intruders entered the flat but he woke up and challenged them.

The pair threatened him with the knife and left with the puppies, though nobody was hurt in the incident, South Yorkshire Police said.

Detectives have asked for help as they investigate the raid, which took place in the Smelter Wood Road area at about 6.30pm on 22 February.

Anyone who recognises the puppies or has seen them offered for sale on social media has been asked to come forward.
