Stomach-churning 'I'm A Celebrity' challenge proves too much for Holly

It was sick bags at the ready on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here last night.

But not for the contestants so much (well, a bit), more for Holly Willoughby, who found the ominous ‘Dreaded Deliveries’ task – a takeaway with a series of horrible twists – facing Malique Thompson-Dwyer and Sair Khan all too much to handle.

As Malique, trying to remain poker-faced, was served up a ‘menu of misery’, Holly struggled to hold back her disgust, heading for the bushes behind co-host Declan Donnelly, before doubling up.

There were various cow teats, served in a vibrant curry, pigs anus, vomit fruit, spaghetti with fish eyes, sheep penis, and mice tails. Bad enough, you’d think, but the tails were also coated in flies.

Fair’s fair, it was thoroughly grotesque, and arguably one of the most radically disgusting eating tasks the show has thus far devised in its 18 years on screen.

Viewers loved it, of course, notably Holly’s abject failure to hide her horror (plus her disgust at Dec’s ‘gippy’ burp).

It wasn’t all bad, however.

Thanks to Sair and Malique’s heroism, they earned 11 stars, and a camel-based dinner for the camp.

“I couldn’t have done it if Malique wasn’t there, I needed that motivation. We’ll have such a good day today, everyone will be so happy,” said Corrie star Sair.
