'We Can Stop This!' Gun-Violence Protesters Sing and Chant at Tennessee State Capitol Rally

Protesters gathered outside Tennessee’s state capitol building in Nashville on Thursday, March 30, demanding gun reform legislation following Monday’s shooting at the city’s Covenant School.

Footage captured by Joe Woolley shows people singing “This Little Light of Mine” and chanting “We can stop this!” outside the building on Thursday morning.

On Wednesday night, a citywide vigil was held and attended by political and media figures including first lady Jill Biden and singer Sheryl Crow. Speaking at the vigil, Nashville Mayor John Cooper said the shooting was “our city’s worst day.”
