Stop-Motion Artist Voyages to 'Mars' in Creative Video

An artist and musician in France staged an exciting expedition to “Mars” without ever having to leave his home, footage posted on January 23 shows.

While a visit to Mars may have you envisioning the Red Planet, stop-motion artist Antoine Ceunebroucke instead decided to “land” on a Mars chocolate bar, seen resting atop the kitchen table in his Nice apartment.

Wearing a makeshift spacesuit, complete with a French flag on the arm, Ceunebroucke uses clever editing and cool props to create the effect of him shrinking to go and explore mysterious terrain. Ceunebroucke also recorded the soundtrack.

Speaking to Storyful, Ceunebroucke said the project is “a criticism about the idea to want to live in Mars in the future.” Credit: @antoineceunebroucke via Storyful
