A Blantyre street was closed this morning after Storm Bert blew the roof off a boarded-up pub.
Gale force winds battered Scotland after a weekend of severe weather conditions saw snow, wind ice and rain.
South Lanarkshire Council shut down Blantyre's Main Street branding the derelict Matt's Bar a 'dangerous building' after gusts of up to 70mph tore through the dilapidated roof and blew a billboard down.
The post on the local authority's Facebook page read: 'Main Street in Blantyre has been closed due to a dangerous building. Local diversions are in place.'
Local diversions were put in place until the street reopened. Workers were on site on Monday carrying out repairs to the building.
A yellow weather warning remained in place in the northwest until 10am this morning (November 25), as the official storm moves east across the north of Scotland.
Another spell of very strong winds will affect parts of the north, as well as western and central areas. Gusts of up to 60mph are widely expected, with this rising as high as 70mph near coastal areas and exposed bridges.

A spokesperson for South Lanarkshire Council said: “Blantyre Main Street was closed for a period today (November 25) as a result of panels having blown off the roof of a building.
“The owner of the building acted quickly to carry out repairs and the road was able to be fully opened once again.”
