Storm Bert: All major roads into Tewkesbury fully open
Main routes into a Gloucestershire town are still open despite red alert flood warnings being issued for the River Severn. Tewkesbury has the flood warning in place by the Environment Agency due to rising river levels because of the impact of Storm Bert.
Its after effects are still being felt in Gloucestershire today (Monday November 25) after heavy rain brought severe disruption to much of the county. Strong winds have also seen part of a Premier Inn in Cheltenham's High Street fall to the ground and a tree fell on a car in Hester's Way. A number of roads are still closed or impassable due to floodwater.
Four major roads into Tewkesbury are still open at the time of writing, including Bredon Road, the A38 at King John's Bridge over the River Avon, Aschurch Road close to Morrisons and Gloucester Road at Gloucester Road car park. Tewkesbury High Street remains open for visitors and trade.

In a message to those in the affected area, the Environment Agency said: "Please move possession and valuables off the ground or to safety and activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers." More rainfall is expected over the next 48 hours.
