Storm Bert: The moment flood sirens sound off in Yorkshire market town
The moment flood sirens sounded off in a Yorkshire market town as Storm Bert batters down has been captured on camera.
Sirens are in operation in the Calder Valley region of the county. Footage of the sirens blasting through the streets of Todmorden have been shared on social media.
This comes as the county has come under heavy rain and snowfall with an amber weather warning issued by the Met Office last night. West Yorkshire Police have warned the public to 'only make necessary trips' trips today, to avoid the hazards.

Facebook page North Yorkshire Weather Updates shared the footage at 1.30pm, it said: "Todmorden is flooding. The sirens have sounded and there are predictions from the flood wardens that say it could get as bad as it did in 2015. Take action now."
Earlier today, West Yorkshire Police issued the following statement on social media, it said: "Due to Storm Bert, we have been dealing with a lot of snow logs this morning.
"We are now starting to see localised flooding to some of the roads, particularly around Hebden Bridge and Todmorden. Calderdale Council have been made aware. Please only make necessary trips and if you have to go out, then drive with care and take precautions."
Road have been disrupted across the county. The amber weather warning has since elapsed but a yellow snow and rain warning remains for most of Yorkshire.
Rural and major roads have been affected. Complete road closures have been in place on the A66, A628 from A57 and Woodhead Pass. The A1M was also at a standstill earlier today following a jack-knifed lorry closing the road for some time.
