Storm Chaser Caught Up in Wild Mississippi Weather

A storm chaser found himself right in the middle of some wild weather near McCool, Mississippi, on Tuesday evening, November 29, as a tornado watch was issued for several areas.

Jay Lesyk recorded this footage inside his car while he figured he was inside a “possible tornado”.

“I’m right inside the circulation,” he can be heard saying.

“Oh my God, I’m in it. This is it, this is a tornado,” he says, as strong winds blow.

At least two tornadoes were confirmed over the state line in Alabama, but no confirmation was available at the time of writing for one near McCool. McCool was included in an area where a tornado warning was in effect. Credit: @JayLesykWX via Storyful

JAY LESYK: I'm right inside the circulation. I'm being careful that tree doesn't come down on me. Oh my God, I'm in it. This is it. This is a tornado. I'm in a tornado. I'm inside the tornado. Holy-- I am between McCool and Louisville, pretty much right in McCool, actually, just east, I want to say, just East of McCool. I might be in the RFD right here.
