Storm Chaser Drives Towards Heart of Potential Tornado in Wheatland, Iowa

Storm chaser Michael Marz captured his journey towards the heart of a potential tornado in Wheatland, Iowa, on May 23.

In this video, capturing the moment, Marz can be heard saying as he drives: “Might be a tornado in progress over this hill.”

“Nope, (it is) trying to be (a tornado),” he adds after cresting the hill. Marz told Storyful that the formation he captured was a “rotating wall cloud”, which could lead to a tornado formation. Credit: Michael Marz via Storyful
